October is a month of change, and that's reflected in the fun events that take place throughout the month. October wouldn't be complete without pumpkin spice lattes and haunted houses. And of course, Halloween brings out the kid in everyone, with costumes, candy, and parties. But October isn't all about the spooky holiday. Here's a list of our season-worthy happenings to add to your calendar!
Running of the Wieners

The Oktoberfest Running of the Wieners event is a must-attend for any sausage lover. This unique race features wiener dogs of all shapes and sizes racing down a short track, with their owners and spectators cheering them on. The atmosphere is electric, and there's plenty of food and drink around the square to enjoy. Even if you don't have a dog in the race, it's a fun event to watch. Whether you're cheering on the runners or competing yourself, plan now to join in on the spectacle of the Running of the Wieners.
Art at the Market

Fall Trail Drive Through

The fall foliage is soon at its peak, and there’s no better time to take advantage of all that beauty than during the Trail Drive Through. The entire family is invited to come out and enjoy a fun-filled day on the trails during this one time event where vehicles are allowed on the trail. The drive will start at Cedar View Trail, where participants can follow either path across Highway 34 bypass bridge or continue driving the trail towards Maasdam Barns.
Halloween Spook Ride
