An Evening of Acoustic Country Blues, Folk and Ragtime Tunes with Tom Morgan & Friends—Café Paradiso, Saturday, Nov. 24th

Master fingerstyle guitarist Tom Morgan—well known to Fairfield audiences for his vintage acoustic blues and ragtime fingerpicking as half of the Skunk River Medicine Show duo—will assemble an ensemble of Fairfield’s finest musicians to accompany him on the Café Paradiso stage Saturday evening, November 24th at 8pm.

Joining Tom for the show will be Tim Britton (mandolin and bass), Jenny Sammons (vocals and ukulele), Eric Hurlin (piano), Kevin Riley (harmonicas), David Carlisle (vocals, mandolin and guitar) and Carol Carlisle (vocals and guitar).

Jenny will sing classic blues and early jazz from Bessie Smith and others, accompanied by the whole gang, as well as some rousing gospel pieces that the audience can join in on if the spirit moves them. David and Carol Carlisle will deliver some of their sweet folk and country duets. Kevin Riley will treat the audience to his masterful blues harmonica playing on some of the old blues classics. And don’t miss the soul-stirring ivory-key improvisations of Eric Hurlin—always one of the high points of any show Eric graces with his extraordinary talent.
