Often it is crises that open us up to new things. And in a very real way, that’s what is happening in America. As we make our way through a difficult time for our democracy, the way is being cleared for new conversations, new options, and new possibilities.

As someone who has spent thirty-five years working in the field of personal transformation, Marianne Williamson has seen how the principles of individual change apply to societal change as well. And now more than ever, Marianne feels the articulation and expansion of that conversation is not only valuable, but also necessary, to help us navigate the times in which we live.

To Marianne, the phrase “spirit of democracy” denotes something more than a slogan; it denotes a very real pattern of thoughts and feelings that are necessary to our well-being. Join Marianne Williamson on Sunday, September 16, 7:30PM at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center as she discusses that.

Williamson says, “I look forward to the opportunity to speak into a new American listening — one that is ready to look past an old, mechanistic political paradigm and embrace a more forward-thinking, holistic, and deeply democratic frame of mind. As Americans, we have some issues to clean up from the past, some new beginnings to co-create in the future, and a new era of citizenship to forge within ourselves.

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, Sunday, September 16, 7:30PM. Free to the Public. No tickets are needed.

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed author and lecturer. For the last 35 years, she has been one of America’s most well-known public voices, having been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, & Bill Maher. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times Best Sellers and four of these were #1. The mega best seller A Return to Love is considered a must-read of The New Spirituality. A paragraph from that book, beginning “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers. www.marianne.com
