Registration for Jefferson County Conservation’s 11th annual Spring Into Summer Dutch Oven Cook-off is May 10; no late registrations will be accepted.

The contest will be May 18 at Jefferson County Park, with contestants setting up as early at 7 a.m. Cooking begins immediately following the 9 a.m. cooks’ meeting.

Individuals or teams are welcome. Youth ages 10-17 can compete with an adult supervisor on the team.

“Well-seasoned” teams can enter one to three categories: dessert, main dish, and bread. A $5 entry fee is charged for each category. A $100 prize will be awarded to each first-place winner; $75 for second and $50 for third.

Novice teams with limited experience can complete in one or two categories: dessert and cook’s choice. A $5 fee is charged for each category entered. A $75 first-place and a $50 second place are awarded.
