Bird Notes – from the Journal of a Nature Lover
October 5: 2:00 p.m.
Carnegie Historical Museum
William Graham Ross could easily have been labeled as the Father of Fairfield Birding. His journals from the early 20th century were both lyrical and scientific. His observations are still of great interest today. Come hear what birds we’ve lost and what birds we’ve gained since Ross’ time and learn of his favorite birding spots in Jefferson County. Speaker Diane Porter will share insights and anecdotes from Ross’ book Bird Notes – From a Journal of a Nature Lover. Seating is limited so arrive early. Take the elevator to the third floor.
