Bayo Park & Galleries announces a three-day opening reception for its annual fall exhibition, Wall—From Rome To Batavia (Gbariye) – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 8–10 from 6-8 p.m. The park will be open every Friday and Saturday (6-8 p.m.) thereafter and throughout the year by appointment. Admission is free. Bayo Park & Galleries is located at 1610 230th Street in Batavia, IA. For directions or more information, call 641-693-4142/269-599-9498 or visit bayogallery.org.
Bayo Park & Galleries has lit an artistic fire in the state of Iowa with its ten-acre sculpture park owned and operated by renowned artists David and Reena Olaniyi. They are farming art cultivated on polished acreages, expanding artful culture and thought into intelligent creativity.
Visitors will view the artists working in their studios/gallery spaces, will be able to meet and converse with both artists, and collect original works of art designed onsite and inspired by the “naturality” of the park. Every object is a collectible item from limited editions (don’t wear it, frame it!): t-shirts, prints on edition-etching fine art paper, hand-carved sculptures, individually crafted paintings, and hand-made jewelry. The artworks of Bayo are historical artifacts –unique and original to the artists who dwell on the land. The artists of Bayo have committed their lives and art form to a greater, beautified and unified humanity, with the value of the power of art. Come and see an America wonder on a beautiful, growing, 10 acre art farm.
