Carnegie Museum

Carnegie Museum

What kid (of any age) doesn’t like to explore a museum! Fairfield’s Carnegie historical Museum is loaded with treasures that will enthrall inquisitive minds. And during Family Week, the museum will be hosting some special events.

  • Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday – use the Lewis & Clark scavenger hunt to explore the museum. Work your way around the museum to see what items you can find. (and you can win one of their cool Owl Shirts!)
  • Download the scavenger hunt here:  LEWISandCLARKscavengerHUNT 2021 (002)
  • Wednesday and Friday – try your hand at carding wool and using a drop spindle to learn how to spin the wool into yarn. (Best for kids 4th grade and up).
  • And each day the kids will have a chance to take some “historical photos” – with a prop or two that will make their visit memorable!

Extended hours for Family Week:

Monday, July 27th – Saturday, July 31: 12:00 – 4:00 PM
