When travel writer Cindy Ladage looks for a getaway, she requires a couple of things: Traveling the back roads and seeing  small towns, festivals, museums and out of the way places. Her visit to Fairfield did not disappoint, especially because she also got to explore the barns of Maasdam Barns historic site. (farming destinations are kind of her jam!)  In addition to exploring the barns and trying out some bird watching with birding experts Diane & Michael Porter, Cindy found plenty of ways to explore Fairfield, from shopping to viewing art. But most of all, eating! Lots and lots of fun food options kept this traveling farm girl very happy!
